Daryn Robinson (she/her) is a Chicago-based writer and performer originally from Washington, D.C. You can see her perform improv comedy at The Second City with The Second City's Improv Brunch, Baby Wants Candy, and Shamilton! The Improvised Hip-Hop Musical, and at The iO Theater with Improvised Jane Austen and The iO House Team "Birdlady".

She currently understudies The Second City 47th e.t.c. Revue: Oh, the Places You'll Glow!, and previously understudied The Second City National Touring Company. She also co-produces the monthly all-Black comedy variety show My Best Friend is Black at The Lincoln Lodge, voted Chicago Reader's Best Comedy Show of 2023.

 

Daryn recently graduated with an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from Northwestern University (Go Cats!). Her jokes have been published in The Onion, and she's been lucky enough to intern at some cool places like The Disney College Program and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
