Daryn is a writer/performer based in Chicago. She writes as a Features Contributor for The Onion, and earns her MFA in Writing for Screen + Stage from Northwestern University ('23). Her scripts have placed as Quarterfinalists in ScreenCraft, WeScreenplay, and Filmmatic screenwriting contests!
An alum of The Second City Conservatory and The iO Theater, Daryn currently performs in many Chicago comedy shows, including The Annoyance Comedy Hour, Dick Wolf Improv, and Fire & Beer at The Annoyance Theatre, and The After Dark Show at The Lincoln Lodge.
As an arts administrator, she has worked at the Tony Award-winning Goodman Theatre and Disney World, among other jobs that blend her passion for art with her affinity for tailored blazers!
In her spare time, Daryn plays board games with her roomies, watches Spanish period dramas, and plays "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton on piano (because that's the only song she knows). She would love to connect with you on social media @daryn_2dream.
