Daryn is a writer/performer based in Chicago. She writes as a Features Contributor for The Onion, and earns her MFA in Writing for Screen + Stage from Northwestern University ('23). Her scripts have placed in ScreenCraft, WeScreenplay, and Filmmatic screenwriting contests.
An alum of The Second City Conservatory and iO Theater, Daryn currently performs in many Chicago comedy shows, including Dick Wolf: Special Improv Unit (Main Cast) and The Annoyance House Ensemble: Fire & Beer. This winter, Daryn starred as Holly McClane in YIPPEE KI-YAY, Merry Christmas: A Die Hard Musical Parody (Annoyance Theatre), and joins the Chicago cast of Bye Bye Liver (Newport Theatre).
As an arts administrator, she has worked with the Tony Award-winning Goodman Theatre and the Disney College Program, among other jobs that blend her passion for art with her affinity for tailored blazers!
In her spare time, Daryn plays board games with her roomies, watches Spanish period dramas, and plays "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton on piano (because that's the only song she knows). She would love to connect with you on social media @daryn_2dream.
