Daryn Robinson


Daryn is a writer/performer based in Chicago. She writes as a Features Contributor for The Onion, and earns her MFA in Writing for Screen + Stage from Northwestern University ('23). Her scripts have placed in ScreenCraft, WeScreenplay, and Filmmatic screenwriting contests, and on the Coverfly Red List.

An alum of The Second City Conservatory and iO Theater, Daryn's Chicago credits include: Shamilton! The Improvised Hip-Hop Musical (Baby Wants Candy), Improvised Jane Austen (Bughouse Theater), The Annoyance House Ensemble: Fire & Beer, Dick Wolf: Special Improv Unit (Annoyance Theatre), and many more! 


As an arts administrator, Daryn has worked with the Tony Award-winning Goodman Theatre and the Disney College Program, among other jobs that blend her passion for art with her affinity for tailored blazers. And this Summer 2022, Daryn will intern for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert!


In her spare time, Daryn enjoys playing board games with her roomies, watching period dramas, and getting a bit too competitive at bar trivia. She would love to connect with you on social media @daryn_2dream.
